Bhay (fear)

“Nainan chhindanti shastraani, nainan dahati paawakah.
Nachainan kledayantyaapo, na shoshayati maarutah.” No weapon can cut it, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it and wind cannot dry it. Then, where the room for fear is. Fear is nothing but a false concept. Sometimes, I become so afraid that I surrender myself before the very weak enemy whom I can conquer easily in moral boosting position. It means, mind is the main thing. When mind is weak (in depressed state), one can be defeated by a very tiny object. In morally high position (morally elevated), one can defeat the enemy who is much stronger.
‘Taavad bhayasya bhetavyam, yaavad bhay nanaagatah.
AAgatan tu bhayan veekshya, preeti kuryat yathochitam’. We should be afraid from the fear until it has not come. Seeing the fear present, one should deal it properly.
Sometimes, I find myself surrounded by fearful things. I sit calmly for few minutes and find easy solution. I meditate on my deity and the thing of fear disappears in a moment. Fear is nothing but a false concept.

BEAUTY

There is one proverb ‘Marriages are arranged in heaven’. This is hundred percent true. Our boys wander hither and thither in search of beautiful girl. They search only facial beauty. The real beauty is internal. The internal beauty is truthfulness, kindness, politeness etc. Of course, the health should be sound and face not ugly in a girl while choosing for marriage. But thinking spiritually, these are also not of so much important as internal beauty.

SENSE OF HUMOUR

It is a great gift of God. We all should have this in full swing. Everybody has some worldly problems. But, no body is to do anything with your predicaments. Then, why should I always remember them and always remain gloomy in their memories. ‘Rahiman nij man kee vyathaa manahee raakho goy; Suni athilaihen logsab baanti na laihen koy.’ Humour is a tonic to be taken by everyone daily. When I sit with my friends and start to laugh, I forget all anxieties. Anxiety is the root of all diseases. This tonic makes us healthier and gives us long life. Now, tell me whether it is a tonic/ medicine or not.
Humorous persons make more friends. They share their problems with their friends and get proper solution. Thus their anxieties are lowered.
Bold persons have much humour. Perversely, humorous persons are bolder. Boldness comes by one’s expertise in any field. It means, humorous persons have more proficiency. Dull cannot be bold and can’t have more humor.

Thus, we can conclude that humour gives us energy to have long life.

GREAT LOSS FOR US

The Assembly Election 2015 is being held these days. Leaders of all parties are exercising all forces to pull the mind of voters towards them. Three phases are over. The fourth phase is scheduled to be held on 1st of November, 2015. Who will win, cannot be said because there is neck to neck fight in all constituency between NDA and Mahaagathbandhan. But, one thing is very clear that we have again lost one good opportunity of getting number one position among the all states of the country and going down ward to have the last position. Either Mr Nitish Kumar or Mr Sushil Modi or any other may be CM but, the joint force of Nitish and Modi cannot be achieved. During 2005 to 2013, both were together. Our state was achieving new heights in every field. And there is no doubt if the friendship would have lasted long, we could have achieved highest position among all states.
The leadership quality and development vision of Nitish are unparallel. He is a good engineer, the root of infrastructure development. He gave physical form to his engineering dream. Dy. CM and Finance Minister, Sushil Modi gave him good strength regarding support in Assembly as well as in administration, development and in financial matter. Thus, being free from assembly matter, he utilized his engineering skill hundred percent and started to reach the great height in every field like, Road development, Health, Education, Infrastructure, Law and order, electricity etc.  Both the leaders had clean images and both were free from relatives in politics and in administration.
When I start to think neutrally, I find that there is no fault of public at all. Seeing the performance of the government during the period, 2005 to 2010, the voter of Bihar gave more than three fourth majorities to NDA in 2010 election. This created ego to both the leaders. ‘Prabhutaa paai kaahi mad naahee’. The ego created differerences between the two parties. Neither Nitish wanted to create adjustment with Modi nor Chhote Modi tried to patch up the differences. Both became separate. Thus, down fall of Bihar was started.
Today is Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel’s birthday. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel both honoured each other and gave equal importance to each other’s views. That’s why we have our present united country; otherwise we would have divided different so many small kingdoms only.

Similar is the situation of our state Bihar. But, our Jawahar and Patel are separate. I feel much sorrowed seeing the fate of Bihar. We are deprived of having collective leadership of Nitish and Sushil Modee. Whoever wins doesn’t matter; once again, Bihar has lost the race. But, dear friend! don't be sad; The Almighty will do all the best for us.

SORROW, THE TOUCH STONE OF LIFE

What a great fallacy of the world is, that which we don’t want to have is the very touch stone of life. No one can be famous in the world if he has not faced the trouble. Sita, Savitri, Ram, Krishna, Gandhi, Jawahar all have faced unimaginable grieves in their life. One cannot make success in life unless he has not faced troubles.
Everyone knows the great sage (Devarshi) Narad. In one of his previous births, he was the son of a widow maid servant. The child (Narad) used to go with her mother where she went. Once, so many sages visited the place. His mother was deputed to serve the sages. The child was also with the sages all the time. He enjoyed the company too much. After sometime, the sages started to depart. The child became very sad and requested the saints to take him with them. The sages refused and suggested him to stay with his mother till she is alive. Unwillingly, he accepted the proposal. After some time, a great trouble came to the child. Her mother died due to snake biting. The child became an orphan. The trouble of the orphan child is beyond imagination. The sages came to the same spot in the return journey and took the child with them. This very child became the great sage ‘Narad’.
The great sage Bhagvaan Ramana Maharshi left home at the age of mere 16 in search of truth. Till so many years he remained in trance. He spent a good time without food. Insects bit him in the dark ‘Paataal Lingam, in the deep well’ and the mark of wound was vivid till his last journey. But, he is mater of masters due to these troubles.

We all are acquainted with the troubles of Ram, Krishna, Buddha, Sita, Savitree, Draupadi, Gandhi, Naharoo, Subhas, Bhagat Singh, Azad, Sukdeo, Rajguru. They all could lead their lives in ease. But, they adopted trouble themselves to help the society and to remove the trouble of the people. Ram was a prince and later he was to become the king of Ayodhya. He could enjoy his life lavishly like other prices and kings of the history. But, in that case, we would have forgotten his name also like other princess and kings. Even ordinary person like us cannot lead such a tough life. Living in dense forest among dangerous fierce animals and giants without any shelter in rains, cold and scorching sun is not an easy task. Can anybody imagine the trouble of Krishna? From the very womb, problems surrounded him. Troubles were mountain like but, all became flower like before my Lord Krishna. That’s why, he is called full incarnation of Almighty. Lord Buddha was also a prince. But, he left the princely enjoyment and adopted the toughest trouble in search of truth.

Baapoo!

Today we are celebrating your 146th birthday. It is very miracle that a loin clad man defeated the most powerful umpire of the world. The Britishers, in whose empire the sun never set were forced to leave our country by this person’s two weapons ‘Truth and non-violence’. We are very sad that a mad man killed you. But, we are very ashamed to see that your so called disciples daily kill you by opposing your principles and only adopting the path of violence and lie. You fought against communalism and caste, but your so called followers are spreading hatred in the society by following the above very two ill things. Baapoo! You were the root to free our country but, you never accepted any job in the government. Your today’s followers daily change party to have tickets/ jobs in the government. Today, your so called disciples celebrate the birth anniversary or demise day of yours and other famous freedom fighters on the line of caste. If you were alive today, you would have committed suicide seeing all these activities of your so called followers. They are shamelessly touching your statue’s feet and taking swearword to adopt your principles. But, their acts are always opposite to your ideals.

CHILDHOOD

Child is the father of the man”. ‘Poot ke paanw paalane me’. ‘Honhaar virvaan ke hot chikane paat’. The meaning is clear.  The seed is the root of a tree. If the seed is good, tree will automatically be better. Similarly, a good child becomes a good man. If primary education is bad, man will naturally be bad. Good education in the childhood makes a man great scholar where as bad habits produces criminals, robbers, murderers etc. The children suffering from malnutrition cannot have robust health in future. When they take nutritious food in youth period, only stomach develops, not the whole body. Proper food, medical aids, education, habilitation etc. is urgent need for appropriate development of a child.

I want to bring attention towards these points. What is the fault of a child if he has taken birth in a very (economically/socially) poor family. Why should he not be given equal opportunity to develop? If equal atmosphere is provided, I don’t think that there would be more differences in grown up stage.

Till a few years back, girls were not allowed to come out and have proper schooling. Presently when they have started proper studying, they have surpassed the boys. Similarly, if suitable and equal opportunity is provided, there is no cause of far differences.

I want to give some suggestions. According to population, every village should have child care centers. From the very pregnancy period, mothers should be kept in proper supervision of the care centers. The centers should have all facilities like food, lodging, medical aids; education etc. till the child is grown up. Every child irrespective of cast, creed, wealth etc. should be kept in those centers. There should be common schools, colleges for all children. The cost should be borne by the government. No private school, private coaching should be allowed. Surnames, castes should not be mentioned anywhere. I think, if above suggestions are followed, a caste less society with equal status of all will be created automatically. The problem of malnutrition, child labor etc. will be abolished.
